The front support rail and top support rail are connected together as one piece. The support straps come pre-attached to this connected rail assembly.

The lower rear support rail is a separate piece and must be installed at the lower back of the chair frame.

The cushion insert and cushion cover come separately. Place the cushion insert inside the cushion cover before final use.

Before You Begin

Choose a clean, soft surface for assembly. A rug, blanket, carpeted floor, or flattened cardboard from the box works well. This protects the wood frame and cushion cover from scratches during assembly.

Do not fully tighten any bolts until all frame pieces are installed and aligned.

Use the included Allen wrench. Do not use power tools because overtightening can damage the wood frame or strip the hardware.

Important Orientation

Before assembling the chair, identify the front and rear.

The double rail section faces the front of the chair. This is the side of the connected rail assembly with the two lower/front rails.

The single rail section faces the rear/top of the chair. This is the upper rear support area where the chair back rests.

The connected front/top support rail and strap assembly should be installed so:

  • The double rail section is positioned toward the front/lower area of the chair.
  • The single rail section is positioned toward the rear/top area of the chair.
  • The straps run straight between the rails.
  • The straps sit fully inside the grooves of the wood side frames.

Important Strap Alignment Warning

The straps must be straight and seated in the grooves before tightening the bolts.

Before tightening, check that each strap is:

  • Straight
  • Not twisted
  • Not pinched
  • Sitting fully inside its groove
  • Evenly spaced
  • Properly aligned with the wood side frames

Do not fully tighten the bolts if a strap is outside the groove, twisted, or pinched. Loosen the frame slightly, reposition the strap, and then tighten the bolts evenly.

Step 1: Lay Out the Parts

Remove all parts from the packaging and place them on a soft surface.

Lay out:

  • A: Left wood side frame
  • B: Right wood side frame
  • C: Connected front/top support rail and strap assembly
  • D: Lower rear support rail
  • E: Cushion insert
  • F: Cushion cover
  • G: Bolts / washers / hardware
  • H: Allen wrench

Make sure the two side frames are facing the same direction. The taller angled section should face the rear of the chair. The shorter leg section should face the front.

Step 2: Identify the Connected Rail and Strap Assembly

Part C is the connected front/top support rail and strap assembly.

This piece includes:

  • Front support rail
  • Top support rail
  • Pre-attached straps

Do not remove the straps. Do not cut the straps. Do not separate the connected rails.

This assembly installs between the left and right wood side frames.

Step 3: Confirm Rail Orientation

Before installing Part C, confirm the correct direction.

The double rail section faces the front of the chair.

The single rail section faces the rear/top of the chair.

This is important. If the connected rail assembly is reversed, the straps and cushion will not sit correctly.

Step 4: Identify the Lower Rear Support Rail

Part D is the lower rear support rail.

This is a separate piece that installs between the two side frames at the lower rear of the chair.

Do not confuse the lower rear support rail with the connected front/top support rail assembly. Both pieces are needed for proper assembly.

Step 5: Position the Connected Rail and Strap Assembly

Place the connected front/top support rail and strap assembly between the left and right side frames.

Make sure:

  • The double rail section is toward the front/lower area of the chair.
  • The single rail section is toward the rear/top area of the chair.
  • The straps run straight between the rails.
  • The straps line up with the grooves in the side frames.

At this point, the chair frame should remain loose. This is normal.

Step 6: Start the Bolts for the Connected Rail Assembly

Using the included bolts and washers, begin attaching the connected rail assembly to the side frames.

Start all bolts by hand first.

Turn each bolt a few times using the included Allen wrench, but do not fully tighten.

Each bolt should thread in smoothly. If a bolt does not line up or feels stuck, stop, loosen the frame, and realign the parts.

Do not force the hardware.

Step 7: Install the Lower Rear Support Rail

Place the lower rear support rail between the two side frames at the lower rear of the chair.

Start the bolts by hand.

Turn each bolt a few times with the included Allen wrench, but leave them loose until the full frame is aligned.

At this stage, both side frames, the connected front/top support rail assembly, and the lower rear support rail should all be loosely attached.

Step 8: Seat the Straps Into the Grooves

Before tightening the frame, inspect the straps carefully.

Each strap must sit inside its groove on the wood side frame. The straps should be straight, flat, and evenly spaced.

Issue What to Do
Strap is twisted Untwist it before tightening
Strap is outside the groove Move it fully into the groove
Strap is pinched under the frame Loosen the bolts and reposition it
Strap is uneven Straighten it before tightening
Frame looks crooked Check the side frame and rail alignment

This is the most important assembly step. If the straps are not seated correctly, the chair may not sit properly.

Step 9: Tighten the Bolts Evenly

Once the straps are straight and seated in the grooves, tighten the bolts gradually.

Do not tighten one bolt completely before the others.

Instead, move around the chair and tighten each bolt a little at a time.

This helps keep the frame square and prevents the straps or rails from shifting out of position.

The bolts should be snug, but not overtightened.

Step 10: Place the Cushion Insert Into the Cushion Cover

The cushion insert and cushion cover come separately.

Open the cushion cover and slide the cushion insert inside.

Work the cushion into the corners of the cover so it fills the cover evenly. Smooth the fabric by hand and make sure the cushion is not folded, twisted, or bunched inside.

If the cover has a zipper or closure, close it carefully after the cushion insert is positioned correctly.

Step 11: Place the Cushion on the Chair Frame

Place the covered cushion onto the assembled wood frame.

Make sure:

  • The cushion is centered between the side frames.
  • The cushion rests naturally against the straps and support rails.
  • The cover is smooth and not twisted.
  • No fabric is pinched between the frame and support rails.

Adjust the cushion by hand until it sits evenly.

Step 12: Final Assembly Check

Before using the chair, inspect it from the front, side, and rear.

Confirm that:

  • Both side frames are facing the correct direction.
  • The connected front/top rail and strap assembly is installed.
  • The double rail section faces the front.
  • The single rail section faces the rear/top.
  • The lower rear support rail is installed.
  • All bolts are snug.
  • The straps are straight.
  • The straps are seated in the grooves.
  • No straps are twisted or pinched.
  • The cushion cover is properly fitted over the cushion insert.
  • The cushion is centered.
  • The frame sits level.
  • No hardware is loose.

If something looks off, loosen the bolts slightly, adjust the straps or frame, and tighten again.

Troubleshooting

The straps are not in the grooves

Loosen the bolts slightly, move the straps into the grooves, and retighten evenly.

A strap is twisted

Loosen the nearby bolts, straighten the strap, make sure it is seated in the groove, and tighten again.

A strap is pinched

Loosen the frame, free the strap, place it into the groove, and retighten the bolts gradually.

The lower rear support rail will not line up

Loosen the bolts on the connected front/top rail assembly, realign the side frames, start the lower rear support rail bolts by hand, and then tighten everything evenly.

The bolts will not line up

Do not force the bolts. Loosen the frame, realign the parts, and start every bolt by hand before tightening any bolt fully.

The connected rail assembly looks backwards

Check the rail orientation. The double rail section should face the front. The single rail section should face the rear/top.

The cover looks loose or uneven

Remove the cushion from the frame and adjust the cushion insert inside the cover. Make sure the insert fills the corners evenly and the cover is not twisted.

The chair rocks slightly

Place the chair on a flat surface. If it still rocks, loosen the bolts slightly, square the frame, and tighten the bolts gradually and evenly.

The chair feels loose after use

Check the bolts and gently tighten them with the included Allen wrench if needed. A light hardware check after initial use is normal.

Safety and Use Notes

  • Do not stand on the chair.
  • Do not jump onto the chair.
  • Do not drag the chair across the floor.
  • Do not overtighten the bolts.
  • Do not remove or cut the pre-attached straps.
  • Do not use the chair if the straps are twisted, pinched, loose, or not seated in the grooves.
  • Do not use the chair if the lower rear support rail is not installed.
  • Do not use the chair if any hardware is missing.
  • Keep the chair away from excessive moisture, direct heat, and prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Lift the chair from the wood frame when moving it.

Care After Assembly

  • Vacuum the cushion cover with a soft brush attachment.
  • Spot clean only according to the fabric care instructions.
  • Do not soak the fabric.
